Mr. AshrafZargar

He is in the profession of skiing (instructions) from last 40 years. Ashraf worked in Indian Institute of skiing and Mountaineering in Gulmarg as Snow/water skiing instructor and  trained thousands of boys and girls from India and abroad. He has been the member of many mountaineering teams while in the service and have skied down from Mount Trishul in Gharwal Himalayas from an altitude of 23000 feet under the leadership of Retd. Col. N. Kumar, the Principal of the Institute then. Ashraf is  one of the premier Alpine Coaches in Gulmarg.

 

Mr. Muddasar Mir

Muddasir is a renowned hotelier/Skier (Director for Hotel Pine Palace Resorts & Hotel Pine Palace Platinum, Gulmarg) . Mir started skiing when he was 6 years old has participated in 10 National Ski championships was ranked 10th as career best ranking in 2008.Muddasir was coach of the Indian team in the skiing winter Olympics held at Vancouver Canada and has also been a member of winter games federation of India till 2010 for over 8 years. Muddasir is the promoter to Gulmarg Global Derby (India’s only International Ski Event )for last 10 years.

 

Mr. Ayaz Ashraf Zargar

Started skiing at the age of  4.Ayaz has participated in many state and National skiing competitions.  Ayaz went to Nagano, Japan in 1991 as a member for Indian National Team for 1998 Winter Olympics and has been to Sofia ,Bulgaria in 2012 to attend ski Instructors conference. Ayaz has been working as Ski Instructor with IIS&M, Gulmarg since 2000 and has trained thousands of students till date.

 

Mr. Shabir Ahmad Dar  

 

Started skiing in 1982. Shabir has participated in many skiing National Championships and has been team manager of IISM Ski team for quite a long time has an experience of coaching with IISM for more than 13 years. Has done instructors course with W.G.F.I in collaboration with HAPPO-ONE ski school(Japan).

Mr. Tariq Ahmad Zargar

Started skiing in 1985 in Gulmarg. After completing his ski courses successfully, he did Instructors course through W.G.F.I in collaboration with HAPPO-ONE ski school(Japan) Joined IIS&M  as an Instructor for 8 years. Tariq also participated in National Games and was also selected as Team coach of IIS&M for the 5th National winter Games 2008.

Mr. Ajaz Ashraf Zargar

The youngest Heli skier of Gulmarg at the age of 14.Ajaz participated in several State and National level competitions and have won many medals for himself and his state.
